OUR MISSION
The physical and spiritual needs in the Dominican Republic are great, and we believe it is vital, and Biblical, to use a holistic approach to serve both. After years of prayer and preparation, we believe that God has led us to the city of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic to impact people for His kingdom. We are part of the DR Vision Team, a ministry of Daystar Baptist Missions, serving through physical therapy and other established ministries to share the hope and love of Christ.
Physical Therapy
With 12+ years of experience as licensed physical therapists in a variety of settings, we will be able to use our skills to meet the medical needs of the community, while also sharing the hope of Jesus. Our plan is to start a physical therapy clinic in the local church that will reach people in the community, bring them into the church, and provide an opportunity for healing in more ways than one. Our hope is to create a space that cares for the whole person, meeting both physical and spiritual needs.
Sports Outreach
Through sports outreach, we use youth sports as an avenue for evangelism and discipleship. Discipleship within baseball academies, as well as youth soccer and basketball leagues hosted by our home church, will allow us to form relationships with players, coaches and their families
This will also be an opportunity to utilize physical therapy by incorporating injury prevention plans, as well as providing injury screenings as needed.
Women’s Rescue Ministry
Mercy Workshop is a women’s rescue ministry focused on providing jobs and support to women who are ready to leave the streets of San Pedro and an industry of abuse and exploitation. Kacey is able to go a few days each week and offer education on health and movement as well as just spend time with the women. Through stretching, movement and laughter, relationships and trust are being built and Jesus is being shared..
